Glove ports for gloveboxes

Vilitek company manufactures glove ports of VPORT series for leak-proof gloveboxes, pharmaceutical Isolators, radiation protection boxes. VPORT glove ports are specially intended for the using with gloves for PIERCAN gloveboxes (France) and, moreover, combined with gloves for gloveboxes of other manufacturers.

VPORT glove ports are manufactured by means of unit-cast sample turning operation; due to this, their absolutely leak proofness and durability are guaranteed. Owe to port design, minimal quantity of detail and connecting surfaces is ensured, so it excludes a possibility of leak appearance even after a long-term product operation. Threaded retaining ring provides fast port mounting, minimizes a possibility of wrong mounting and guarantees safe gasket contraction even after a transportation or long-term operation.

Ports for gloveboxes are produced in four versions depending on product material:

VPORT PA – a port and a retaining ring of polyamide (stable polymeric material, persistent to influence of oil, gasoline, alcohol, weak acids, diluted and concentrated alkali). The most all-purpose version of a glove port.

VPORT FPA – a port of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a retaining ring of polyamide. Environment in the box has contact only with a port; a retaining ring is located outside and has no contacts with the environment in the box. PTFE – one of the most chemical-resistant material in the world, it exceeds all known synthetic material and noble metals. It is not demolished with a majority of organic dissolvent, alkali, acids and even with aqua Regis. It can be damaged by means of alkaline metal melt, fluorine and chlorine trifluoride. This version of glove port is applied for working with extra corrosive materials.

VPORT AL – a port and a retaining ring of aluminum alloy. It is universal port version for application not connected with using of corrosive chemical materials; it is applied for gloveboxes, which is used in welding, item assembly in the environment of inert gases, microelectronic industry.

VPORT SS – a port and a retaining ring of stainless steel. It is used for gloveboxes, operated in pharmaceutical industry and other applications, in which it is required using of stainless steel.

Sealing O-ring, pressurized mounted glove port and located inside of the box, is standard for all glove port versions, it produces from silastic, but in demand, it can be produced from other materials.

For installation of VPORT glove ports, it is offered a special key, which fits for all port dimension types. Installation of glove port is also possible, but undesirable, because in this case sufficient port pull force and, correspondingly, leak proofness are not guaranteed.

In order to sealing of unusable ports, there are special covers VCAP, which produces in two versions: from aluminum alloy and stainless steel.

Depending on depth of the glove box panel, on which ports are mounted, there are two variants: standard version for installation on panel with depth from 3 to 10 mm and version “T” for installation on thick-walled panel with depth from 10 to 25 mm.

VPORT glove port wrench suits for all glove port sizes. It is needed to install ports and ensure tightness. Wrench is durable and reliable, made of chromium-vanadium steel with a protective coating obtained by manganese phosphatizing.

VILITEK VPORT ECO glove ports for glove boxes and isolators

VPORT ECO glove ports are designed to fix gloves in pharmaceutical isolators and gloveboxes. Ports’ design is optimized for use with Piercan gloves. Ports of this series are made of high-tech engineering polymer Derlin. Port is fixed with stainless steel screws on a transparent shield of glovebox or isolator. VPORT ECO glove ports are used primarily with polycarbonate and plexiglass shields. Scope of supply for VPORT ECO glove port includes the port itself, silicone rubber O-ring, glove locking ring, set of stainless steel screws and washers for port mounting on shield.
